Lean and Rich SST shifts.
I posted this over on the other forum, but I want to get a little more exposure on this for more opinions.
I have a Ralliart with a full X swap, test pipe, cat-back, cone filter mod and a GM 3-port.
I know some of these have been covered on here already and I've tried to read every thread and I still can't figure it out.
I re-tuned my car when I flashed to 5590007 about 2 weeks ago and ever since then my AFR's have been all weird.
When I'm cruising around, my AFR's jump around from 13.4-15.6 in closed loop and ever so often when it goes lean, I get that feeling like Tephra had mentioned where it feels like there is a wind blowing against the car.
Also whenever I down shift my AFR's jump up to about 15.5 then immediately after peg at 10, then it will float around 12.5 for about 2 seconds then go back to normal.
And when I up shift at higher loads, like 100+ and WOT my AFR's peg at 10 or 10.2 then go back to normal.
3rd gear pulls are normal: Low 12's at spool and then 11.3 at redline.
I've tried almost everything mentioned in other threads and they didn't work.
I checked for vacuum/boost leaks and there are none.
I attached my current ROM, a short cruise log and and WOT log.
I've been too lazy to set up my AFR gauge to log so all I have for AFR's is what I mentioned above.

You need to wire up the WB for logging. What you see on the gauge is a slight delay.
I have been working on the exact same issue (same set-up, as you know Kyle). What I have found is that re-scale the MAF using:
http://www.tunerstools.com/mafcal.php
has been a big help, combined with adjusting the Open Loop cross-over.
SST Shift s/b a full point richer (set the Lower Bound same a Low Octane Fuel).
The MAF re-scaling needs to be done every time a major change is made to MIVEC (ESPECIALLY in the sub100 load X sub2500rpm; aka cruising non-boost). I had some horrible bucking car/bouncing AFR issues; re-scaled MAF problem solved. If you think about it, it makes total sense; it only equates to 2-5% change in MAF values, but the SST seems to use airflow for EVERYTHING (seriously).

I just finished rescaling everything and I'm about to go check it out.
I'd offer to help but.... your logs are worthless
Wire your WB and make a real log (with time scale so I can open it in EvoScan).
Until then we can keep throwing darts at the board....

Open/closed loop crossovers are too high from the factory as it is, you want to lower them to 100% load or so to get them to follow the changes you make in the AFR tables sooner.
I've found that some injector and MAF combos can cause you to run super lean at light throttle without tweaking things and I'm assuming this is what you are referring too. Running to lean where the engine hesitates like that is bad news over tme so if anything make sure you get to the richer side of things and then adjust back.
It's perfectly normal for the car to bounce between 13.5-15.5 as it runs closed loop during cruise. Once load goes over 100 it should start to richen things up. I've seen some cars trying to run 16-17 AFR rations with light throttle between 100 and 150 load and it hesitates because the engine doesn't like that.

I meant bumped it down! haha
But not enough.
I bumped it down more based on what Clipse said on the other forum and it helped a lot.
I'm in the process of retuning my fuel map now to compensate for going into open loop earlier.
I also rescaled my MAF tables the right way (Thanks to Steve, Hollywood and Swiftus).
That helped my rich shifts a LOT.
And now closed loop sits between 14.5-15.0 at idle and 14.4-15.2 at cruise, No more swings, woooooooo!
.
BUT, now I'm having an issue where when I shift into 4th or 5th between 2800-3200 while lightly accelerating in Manual Sport I'll get that pulling feeling in the middle of the shift and my AFR will hit 16.9 for 2 seconds then go back to around 14.7.
AND I can't drive in Auto Normal in the city (Not that I ever do anyway, just testing it
) because while normally accelerating after 3rd gear it will start shifting between 2500-2800 unless I give it more gas; and by 6th if I'm under 45mph my AFR will drop to the low 12's or high 11's and my car will start to buck, so I lift, then my car backfires like a *********a and I'll get back on the pedal lightly and the AFR jumps back to around 14.7.
Is that the Upper and Lower bound timing?
High Octane Timing?
Fuel Trims?
The clutches don't slip at all, ever, except when they're supposed to.
And it shifts beautifully any other time.
I also got off my lazy *** and finally setup my UEGO to log in EvoScan.
So I'll post up a new log and my adjusted map ASAP.
Thanks for the help guys!
