Hello EVO peeps...Today my tactrix cable arrived (stoked). I downloaded the current software from evoscan for my evo x v1.43 i think and did the firmware update for the 2.0 cable. The I follow Merlins instructions for the first time ecu rom download and was able to get the rom from the ecu but it came as a bin file and I cant seem do anything with it. I dont have evoscan yet but I dont think that matters. i have a 2010 x se with a tune... Please

 

This is the page that I get trying to find the ROM ID goto address 50020... Which is the 8 digit ROM ID starting at 50020A? Am I correct to read it as 00 55 58 55?
Doesn't seem to make sense?
Am I on the correct path in that I'm trying to find a definition for this ROM so that I can read it as a XML file?

OK, I was able to open my pro tuned ROM and compare side by side values with Tephra XMOD V1. Pretty cool, now I need to get my evoscan and start logging to dial in the LTFT. Since I have dual maps, do I need to do the alt map start (acc on pedal to the floor) and redownload the ecu to read the pump gas map? Or can I find in somewhere in the metadata tables that I previously downloaded from the ecu?

 

Im having this same problem. Just got my tactrix and got the same screen as first post. It was flashing 55580005 but I read on evoXforums that I need 55580006. I tried downloading it from Goldenevo.com but my computer wouldnt open it. Tried hooking tactrix up again and my computer wouldnt read ecu at all? Im gonna have my buddy nuke my computer this weekend since I think its the computer thats messed up.
