Using the ADC0F for alt. maps switching, will the CE light flash like it does when using TPS to switch maps?

EVO 8 ecu with Teph. V7. and alt maps master set to 1

I have a switch with one end to pin 81 and the other end going to pin 42 on the ecu. Should the CE light flash when I toggle the switch?

With evoscan logging request 83 it will go from 0-255 depending on the position of switch. So I know I am getting 5V to pin 42.

 

Only seen the option to flash the ICS when switching maps with the ADC0F, I've never seen the CE light flash when doing this.

 

I'm using TPS-based map switching, and the CEL does flash when I switch maps.

 

I am still having an issue with alt. maps. ELM will link and copy maps from the ecu along with being able to re-set dead. But when I change the values in the ignition map at idle, there is no change in the sound of the motor or what ELM is logging as far as ignition value.

Anybody have an idea as to what is wrong? First post has all my info as to what I have so far.
