Where's the torque
Where's the torque
So I am trying to figure out where my torque is. I will post logs when I get home. but virtual dyno is saying that I have 325hp and 299lbs. I would think if anything I would have more torque than hp with this car and its all in the upper rpm ranges.
So I guess the question is:
Is the secret to torque in the MIVEC tables?
My AFRS are in the 11.2 -11.5 ranges when in WOT. Boost is 25 tapering to 17-18. But its kinda gutless compared to when I had no mods at all and a MBC.

Are the mods in your sig current? If so, put them in the post for future reference.
Yes there is a huge secret to the TQ of the car in the MIVEC tables. The secret has a ton of variables going into it though. Based on the figures you gave (which is hard to extrapolate without an actual chart) your torque does not seem that low. It could simply be a slow spool, wrong gear, or one of many other factors that are disguising the torque.
Your post isn't clear, but TQ happens low... HP happens high. So "and its all in the upper rpm ranges" makes me not sure you have a clear understanding of that.
Lastly, don't worry about being to torque happy. The OE X rods aren't very happy with too much of it. Pushing your spool area seems to be the best way to blow the stock 4B11 up.
