Getting started with logging and tuning. Some questions

I got a Tactrix, EcuFlash and EvoScan. I pulled the ROM and just did some poking around. Im a pretty good mechanic and know my way around a comp so I am comfy tweaking the ECU myself. I searched and read a bunch of this and that but still don't know where to begin. When I log... what am I looking to do with the car?
Can I get a quick rundown of how to change the fuel, timing, etc
some do's and dont's.. etc..
I just need to get the jist of how to make the actual changes before I start to play

Before I may get flamed because I'm sure this has been asked before but I can't sit for hours at a time reading. Thanks for any help!

Look for Recompile's videos on the basics of ecuflash (they're on youtube)

Also, I hate to break it to you but if you're going to start tweaking with your ecu and understand what it is you're actually doing, you'll HAVE to do lot's of reading. There's no getting around it.

If you find out how to add definitions to the ecu(I've tried so many different ways) let me know. Also make sure to look for merlins guide to tuning an evo 6-9. There was a thread tuning for dummies on here.

yeah, watch the videos, then read the [HOW TO] guides people have posted on here. Not worth being lazy and taking short cuts. It sure is a lot of reading and learning. If it was easy, everybody would be doing it.
