So this isnt the typical help me I a getting no response to any known code thread.

This is way weirder.

Jeff's Outlander with a bunch of generous help from Mrfred has been being tuned on SD and now a big map version that we are testing. So far it has been tuned with 1.41 and a 1.3 or alternatively when it went missing I switched to a OP2 and 1.43. I tuned it on the MAF and then I tuned it on SD with stock table size.

We added the turbo kit and 1100s over the weekend.

I had a map that I knew would be really close so I uploaded it last night but instead of being able to use my 1.3 cable for some reason I had to switch to OP2 and 1.43 to flash it.

K, whatev.

Car starts up, I go home, plan on tuning tonight.

Go to tune car and I and I CANNOT get it to upload. I can pull the ROM off like a **** but if I go to upload it I get 2 variations of the same error and stop scenario.

1.41 and 1.3 tells me no SH7052 found and wont do anything.
1.43 and OP2 will start to flash, get through the init responses and then stops when it checks the buffer size.

Checked everything on an Evo X and Evo 8/9 immediately after and it works just fine on them. This has been progressive comm failure which baffles me to no end. It is obviously okay as far as ground and OBD2 comm since I can download the map, I can make changes, but am dead in the water on the upload.

What am I missing?

Power to the ECU? Dosn't the flash require a better voltage than the read?

 

I let the car run and then flashed it to no avail. I am wondering if I somehow did something in the periphery but I would presume if I turned off communication (possible in the X not sure in the 8/9) I couldnt download it.

I have another ECU to try so I am gonna see what I can do with it with an older version of the ROM.
