Do we have to flash ECU or change any value in rom after installing aftermarket COP?
Mine is JDM ECU and is giving P0300 (Random misfire detection) code when i start my car on COP.
If nothing is changed, then what could be the possible reasons of having this code after installation?

 

What are yoy gapped at?

 

BPR8EIX plugs gapped at .02.
It is JDM Evo 8 MR

Thats a common code. Whats your ign at idle?

 

Probably a problem in the wiring of the coil on plug

 

How to check?

I only replaced stock coils with COP. All ecu rom figures are factory numbers.

I agree but how to fix it?
Car shuts off once this code hits. I am not able to drive as car shuts off right after 5 seconds of starting.

Yes, runs perfect on stock coils. I tried in another JDM 8. It behaves same like mine. There is another guy in Malta country. He is having same code with same shutting off in his JDM Evo 9.
