OpenPort 2.0 and Evoscan no responce from ecu...

Evoscan and a USDM 2003 Evo 8.

I am completely new at this so be gentle. I just purchased Tactrix OP2.0 and installed the latest v2.9.0021 software. It seems like I cant display DTCs or log. At the received Data/Eventlog window I get:

Info: OpenPort 2.0 found
Info: OpenPort firmware v1.11.320
Info: Battery 12,134V
Info: initalize vehicle ecu...
Info: OBDII connecting...
Info: Initializing at 5 baud...
info: Initializing complete...
Info: No response from Vehicle ecu
Info: check DTCs complete.

I have tried Openport 1.3x and 2.0, OBDII 96+ and Mitsubishi MUTIII at device setup.

I also choose the OBDII EFI (all 1996-2006 i.e. Evo7/8/9)

Anyone have any idea what I have done wrong?
I have also tried with the engine running.

Ps I borrowed a universal fault code reader a month ago and had no problems reading fault codes.

Thanks

This may sound pointless, but try a hard reset on your laptop and then plug back in the Openport or 1.3
I was having the same problems and after 10 mins of cursing the damn thing, something that simple cured all for me.
Not saying you haven't but try that a few times and re-linking. It finally took for me. Im a noob too at this.

You need to select "Mitsubishi MUTIII"

And make sure you installed the driver, like said above.

Also, the DTC feature only works on 2.6 (least for me) and its picky. To get it to work, you have to open Evoscan and then quickly press the DTC check button to check them. If you do anything else, it wont work. And to remove them, you have to restart Evoscan again and quickly press the clear DTC button.

I tried to install drivers from the Evoscan folder and got "DPInst.exe is not a valid Win32 program"...
I also removed and installed Evoscan one more time. Got following message: Conversion from string "25.72" to type `Double`is not valid.
Also tried with Evoscan 2.8 with no luck.
I can not log either. I suppose it must be something software related to my laptop since I get this fault message. I am not a computer geek, so please chime in

I found this regarding the Win32 problem: http://www.computerhope.com/issues/ch000726.htm

Does someone have the DPinst.exe they can email me so I can try with a file that is known working?
Email to ben.stian.haland at lyse.net

Dtc

DTC Feature works fine on 2.8 and 2.9, no need to downgrade.
