How can I tune my SD without starting on a MAF?

So... At this point, you may have seen 1 or of my other threads regarding issues with tuning my car. I'm starting to think my issues are all stemming from a poorly tuned SD setup. Since I have no way of hooking my MAF back up to my car, can someone help me through getting my SD dialed in?

I've read the "How to tune an evo 8 with SD... " thread, as well as the 3D SD thread, but I think both threads imply you're starting on a car which has a MAF still.

- For me, this is not the case. Nor, do I have a good tune from before the build. My last motor popped and I refuse to use any part of the last guy's tune. So, I'm starting from scratch here.

Can someone help me through this please?

If you follow the thread you say you have read, you can get it done. Just start with map-ve equal, select an rpm ve, say 77-92-77 smoothed, and tweak on from there. Put a decently safe timing map in it, and start tuning. It's not a super quick process, will take a few days/weeks of driving around tweaking to perfect it.
