The version that came with the tablet does. AFAIK that was never released by itself

UWP was introduced in Windows 10. RT is windows 8 based so that wouldn't work. RT is ARM based and also closely guards what can/cannot be installed. You'd need to jail break the device. In terms of porting it without the source code it's possible but time consuming and without the source code would need to be done every time EvoScan got updated. RT is also long dead so definitely not the route I'd go if I was doing it

Nope. The source code was supposed to be given to those who were early adopters (like myself) but the code was never given and I doubt I'll see it 11 years later

I would also love to be able to buy the apk and run it on something! Anyone have the apk? Or is it still able to he purchased!?

 

The APK isn't the issue. You need the specific cable hardware to use with it. It'd be great if Hamish would come around and explain why the project died.

If got the whole system and am in the process of going double-DIN with my receiver. Thinking if the APK will run on a random tablet, I'll use an Android head unit. If not, then I'll go with a major label unit.

Has anyone had any experience running EvoDroid on a non-Fire tablet?

 

I spoke to Hamish a couple of weeks ago about purchasing the APK. He said that he is having a new version (i don't know if he meant APK or tablet), coming out soon but he just needs to get rid of some bugs and get it working.

 

After unsuccessfully trying to get my hands on an Evodroid for more than 2 years, I think I'm just going to spend 3x more money on a AEM CD-5...
