HKS 272 smooth idle
I'm very interested in the HKS 272s, if you check a dyno test performed by AMS few years back, comparing various cam types, the HKS seem to have zero lag over stock cams! Can anybody using HKS cams confirm that?
Sorry for being off topic, & yeah, cam lope is desirable by 90% of people!

In answer to the op just because it's a 272 doesnt mean you'll get the same lope as other 272 you have to take into consideration can lift hks are very very mild cam compaired to say gsc which are more aggressive with an 11.2 mm lift which will give a more aggressive idle lope but also stated above tuning has a part to do with idle lope you can tune s3s to sound almost stock

actually there is a lot vids with hks 272 loping , with stock valvetrain i think its a safe way to use hks cams .
i've leaned a bit fuel on idle , it helped
, thanks to domyz for advise.
i just love that sound , can always turn it back when it makes me bored.

Glad I could help, what was your final idle AFR ?
O Im not saying they won't be lopy but If you put hks and say gscs next to each other the gscs will sound a bit more lopy due to the bigger lift and well the new gsc duration is also a 274 and like you said a lot has due do with the tune as well
