Now I don't want to sound like a complete retard here, but I have been searching for the past two days on how to start with the EcuFlash programming and cannot find anything. I downloaded the software for it and I guess now I need to buy the correct cable, but the site the download is from doesn't say which one I need for my car. I'm usually pretty good with computer lingo, but other threads talking about programming make no sense to me. If someone can point me in the right direction NICELY and start not flaming me I would sincerely appreciate it. I just want to do the post cat o2 forced inspection patch or whatever is needed to delete the ecu from reading that sensor because I bought the car with the cat deleted and a test pipe installed.

Thanks for the help guys. I ordered the cable today. Will be wanting that as soon as possible? Is the rear o2 delete flash difficult to do? I've never messed with ECU flashing software before.

 

Not too difficult. In short, you pull your current rom from the evo to your computer. Insert the proper code into the xml file for that rom. Save it. Make adjustments in ecuflash if necessary. Upload that saved rom back to the ecu. Should be all you need.
