I read a rom from an 03 and it downloads completely but says cannot find definitions for rom which is strange because I have def. Package for all evos. It asked me to abort so I did. Now the car won't start. I flashed it with a good teprha ROM and disabled the immobilizer. Still no start. The guy brought me the car because it started running crazy rich all of a suddon. He swapped all the sensors but no luck. Is this ecu trash? Has this happened to anyone else? Thanks!

 

How did and why did you disable the immobilizer. Why not just keep it there with the correct key code. That would be the first thing I would look at. Also if you just did a read then you arent changing anything so nothing should change with the car. Only if you flash to it are you changing anything, at that case, Just flash back to the original one. You did save the original one separately right

 

I didn't get a immo code because I couldn't see the rom once it was downloaded. So without the original immo code I had to disable it with teprha.

 

reflash it and confirm the immob is set to 0 in periphery. but when you reflash it, put the battery on a charger. if the voltage is to low it can flash and corrupt the content on the flash image. worth a shot.

 

0 is off, 1 is on correct? It had a battery charger on it while I was working on it... the battery was weak when he got here.

After I read the ROM I was not getting injector pulse anymore. 1 minute before that it ran but was super rich and not hitting on all cylinders. He's got another ecu coming so well see what happens. I should be able to pull the ROM from it and get the immo code. I think he's getting the key And immobilizer box with it. If not I will disable it.
