SD with open loop tuning

Hey guys . I am tuning SD set to run open loop. Can I disconnect the o2 sensor? Does the o2 sensor have any affiliation with the knock sensor? The reason im asking is because I do have it disconnected and with my logs I am getting no knock but still my timing figures show figures from my low octane ignition map around max torque. This is weird because it should only revert to that map if im experiencing knock. An ideas?

What you are experiencing has likely been covered under another idea.. Iat based ign trims ..what rom are you running? Make sure you're not using iat based trims if you're looking for timing map to match timing adv all the time .. Also log timing map too

Also check to see that the FAA bit 10 is disabled

Im using 96531706 ROM. All of my IAT trims are zeroed out

Keep in mind that also there are boost trims based on iat that will not work correctly, as on SD we have post IC IAT sensor. So they should be disabled on SD.

The boost tables still work the same since MAF IAT is roughly the same as post WOT IAT with most efficient fmic's. it's the idle IAT adjustment that is inaccurate due to exceedingly high MAF IAT readings vs. post FMIC IAT readings.

Granted, WGDC trims have no relation to the OP's question on ignition timing.

The front O2 sensor has no relation to ignition timing, especially after about 100 load even if it was still enabled. Even so, it only has an effect on fuel and not timing.
