im going to check the ocv valve since the code has popped when people had problems with it. but would that make my car knock?

 

knock can be mechanical as well (down pipe vibrating on braces, etc.

 

ya i think it could be that as well. i hear that on the evo 9's unlike the 8's the code is not a phantom code. so i want to get it fixed at this point. maybe that would fix the knock issue maybe not. i just heat wraped the downpipe and i checked to see if it was rubbing. was not.

 

Just for record my knock sensor was not tight..gonna pick up a socket that will fit. Im sure thats my problem. On the p0011 code i still dont know. I need to work on my cars idle then maybe it will.not come back.

 

POWA!!!!!!! knocks gone. power is immense. p0011 code hasnt came back yet but i have a feeling it will. might have to ignore it.

 

What did you do to fix the issue?

tightened his knock sensor to fix knock, nothing for the code.
