evoscan/ecu flash on a Mac?

So I know this subject has been brought up before and I've done a lot of searching around on it, but I have not really found anyone who is logging and flashing using these two programs primarily.

I'm currently using an ancient windows vista machine that is huge and has a 10 minute battery life. Not to mention it is slow as can be and just an all around pain to deal with. I would love to be able to use my macbook air for all my logging and flashing.

I know you can run a virtual windows environment using a programs like parallels and whine bottle and a few other options like bootcamp, but I want to hear from people that are actually running these two logging/flashing programs (ecuflash/evo scan) solely on their mac and what your set-up is.

The reason I haven't tried some of these options out using the trial and error method is that they can be a little pricey. Parallel is $79 and whatever the going rate is for a clean copy of windows. I don't mind throwing some money at these options, but I want to make sure they're going to work before I do. So if anyone has any experience with this type of set-up I would love to hear from you.

Thanks in advance...

I run evoscan through VMware and ecuflash through native Mac OSX 10.8 and I have not had any issues.

^^ Thanks. I'll look into that and see what I can do with it. What cable are you using to be able to use ecuflash with the native Mac software?
