2005 evo 8 does it have a map sensor
2005 evo 8 does it have a map sensor? car is in the shop so i cant check. if not what will i need to get one as i think its needed for tuning via ecuflash for psi based tunes? please help clear this up.

You should have one, if not it will give you a CEL and run like crap. For ECUFlash, its recommended to swap/get a aftermarket one. I have the Evo X MAP sensor (equivilent to JDM?) and its direct swap with the Evo 8. The only thing you'll have to do is change some settings in ECUflash and flash your car so you can read boost.
I would go ahead and buy you an Omni 4 Bar map. It isn't outrageous and you know you've got the best in that case. But, yes by default you have a MAP sensor. It is on top of the intake manifold. The one that comes in the car is pointless to anything but the ECU. To log get the Omni 4 bar. =P
