Hey guys Ive had ecuflash/evoscan for awhile now and have done a bit of logging as well as flashing stock maps on a few evos.

One thing is that I've re flashed evos 04 plus but never an 03 which is what I have. My tuner set me a few adjustments today and when I tried to read my ecu it said unknown rom image and it can be saved but unreadable.

I can't even upload my new map because it says unknown rom image.


I went through my rommetadata and noticed I do not have a definition for an 03 EVO 8 but I have everything else. So Ive been looking around online and cant find the definitions for an 03.

Any help would be great thank you!

 

What rom is your tuner sending you? You may just not have the XML file. Ask him for it.

 

You don't necessarily need a 2003 map. You just need the xml for your rom file.

Your tuner might've used a mods rom, you would need an xml to read it.
Despite being an 'unknown image' you could still save it & post here, I'm sure the guys here would find you the right xml for you.

It came up fine for me. It's a 96530706.

Did you pay for your tune? If so, don't post up their work.

You just need to get the xml for that rom and put it in your ECUFlash folder. I can help if you need further assistance.

Fixed.

He needed the XML. Make sure you close ecuflash then reopen after putting xml files in the folder.

I'm having this same issue, I got a new lap top and now I cant open my rom. I downloaded the xml pack on the tephra thred, but I don't know where I need to save the xml for it to work.

Open C: drive
programs + open ecu + rommetadata + Mitsubishi + evo.

Throw the xml in with the other evo roms done.
Just make sure the tephra rom that your using is also in there.
