ECUFlash - Flashing Unknown ROM
Hi guys,
My car had the recall flash done (ROM ID: 56940014) and I'd like to flash to this ROM using ECUFlash. I made a copy by reading the ROM before putting a tune on there. Is it possible to do so without having a full definition file? I noticed that if I go through the wizard and tell it to inherit the 56940010 definitions, I can open the ROM but it only displays ROM Info (no tables). Is that sufficient to flash the car?
Thanks in advance!

Hey guys,
I'm actually a tuner starting out - but a Subaru guy. I created an account just for this message so you better feel special. haha
I hate when I'm stuck and there's no light to be found!!
I resolved this by opening the new 56940014 rom in ECUflash, using the definition wizard, and inherited settings from the previous ROM that came off the car (56940007). it flashed up fine and the car is running stock.
The rom appears to be the same, tables are there and editable. I would NOT RECOMMEND changing ANY values and flashing them to a car until somebody tests this or writes real definitions for this rom.
The Mitsubishi ECU does apparently have a flash counter, confirmed by a friend who is a certified Dealer tech. They won't know what map you had on it, but they will know how many times its been flashed since your last visit! So you'd better have impressive answers for the warranty tech.
I can be found with this name on NASIOC when you upgrade to Subaru
All in good fun guys, Cheers
