Please help. I am having my tuner type this for me. He is going to a track day with me tomorrow and I want him to make some adjustments. My car has been tuned by someone on ECUFlash before I purchased the car. When I purchased it, the previous owner gave me the logging and tuning cables along with everything I need. We just installed the software on the laptop and got the software to connect and read the ecu. We get a message of "Unknown ROM Image". We did some researching on the website, but neither of us are computer programmers and understand all the computer lingo. We tried the "create the new def option" then "retrieve" and go the address of "88590715". How do we get this setup so I can get my car adjusted properly? Please let us know if you are willing to walk us through this over the phone.

Save the rom, post it here. We can help you out that way.

 

There is no ROM image to post because I get the message "unknown rom image". I don't even know what to post.

 

Add the XML files into the rommetadata folder from this thread and try it again

could be a locked map. try running the map unlocker and see if that helps. I have ran into this when tuning some cars and that is usually what it is if you already have the correct xml packs
