cannot open ROM file
cannot open ROM file
Forgive my ignorance on ecuflash in general as I am very new to it and trying to learn as much as possible.
I would like to begin tuning but have been trying to get a few things setup in the metadata before modifying any parameters. After reading through Merlin's guide and watching Recompile's videos, I wanted to I start by adding MUT table access in my Metadata. I downloaded notepad portable ++ and have been able to access the XML file to add tables. I found this thread that has the correct xml format for my ROM https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ec...6420008-a.html. As instructed by mrfred I just cut and paste coding in between the appropriate coding.
At this point I saved the file as an xml file and located it in the evo folder that all other default ROMS are stored in when ecuflash was downloaded. I am confused on what I have to do next. Do I have to save the same file in a hex or bin format somewhere else?? If I do this I get an error that says improper ROM image. Any help would be greatly appreciated. It isn't necessarily the MUT tables that I am having issues with. I am having issues incorporating new data into the metadata tables in general.
thanks

I think I figured it out. I was making it much harder then it had to be. Just copied xml and inserted into 96420008 in the evo folder under openecu. MUT tables are up.
