Should I switch maps when moving to a 10.5 housing
Hey All,
I hope this isn't a stupid question. I have a basically stock 03 running the Tephra V7 version of 94170015. My small 9.8 housing was leaking out of the flapper pretty badly. I got a 10.5 housing to replace it. Is it enough of a chance that I need to possibly run the 05 maps? I haven't done any real tuning, yet, just scaled and smoothed out the map. I won't be getting a wideband for another month or so.
Thanks,
Brady

1. YOU SHOULD NOT BE TUNING WITHOUT WIDEBAND and if you do leave it on the rich side....thats like walking into a dark room blind folded
2. No you dont need to change the maps just because you changed the hotside. Im assuming since your turbo will spool a little later it will hit different load points on your map. you will have to retune the timing/fuel/ (ve if u have SD)

I'm not tuning... I just smoothed out some of the giant jumps in the timing map a little. I haven't touched the fuel map other than to scale it to the same as the timing. I don't plan on tuning until I have a wideband. Just got my Omni and was able to confirm that I wasn't getting full boost until after 4k. No reason to tune if the car isn't running right in the first place.
