Maybe this is a bit of a dumb question, but have you done anything to rule out an issue with the knock sensor itself?

Will definitely do both tests. Thanks

I didn't touch to anything physically. But it might be a good idea to log knock voltage to see if it's overall engine noise raising or a real knock spike.
Added to my to do list

I just went through an issue of this recently and figured out my wiring had been somehow nicked pretty good.

For timing marks I checked them (both cams and crank) and they were right. For knock sensor I'll check but it is not something that been touched.

It might be early, but any luck with the octane? That will tell you a lot about if the issue could be poor timing curve/fuel curve/or just poor fuel altogether.

What does your knock log look like?

001122334433221100

or

2 1 3 5 0 0 2 1 0 4 etc.

With a 35R on 91 octane, 24PSI, GSC 272's, HFC, Apexi Noir CBE, I was counting up to 10 degrees up top at 7500 to not trip the knock light with OEM knock settings. Power level sucked. Hopefully the exhaust and cat-delete will help out some too.

Just post the darn log! Just kidding. Good luck.

Here are some of the knock events, that were still happening with timing not very agressive. Knock happens as soon as the ECU ignite at 8* at about 6100RPM (which is low advance). I'm now 21psi at 6000 rpm and this is not happening anymore. But this is counterproductive to me: the car isn't nearly faster as I expect it from new cams.

I tried running less timing (6*) with same boost (24psi flat) and it still knocked pretty bad:

Anyway, like I said 10 times, I expect the car to take more timing with a new exhaust.

Log knock voltage and post back up. What are your knock sensor settings set at? Can you post a screen shot or are they stock?

Are all these pulls done on the same tank of 91 oct? It seems like bad gas.

That or a persistent/odd harmonics that takes place at 6K consistently.

Like I said I plan to log knock sensor voltage.
Knock setting (filters, multipliers) are stock.
They're made from 2 different tanks of 91, but they come from the same place. Good idea I'll try to fill the car at a different brand/station.

Yes looks odd, always at the same RPM.

I think this is normal for 91oct, I checked a 91 tune that I made a few years ago, timing was around 5 @ 6000/260. that car had a gt3037 turbo & 272cams.
