Ok, thank you!

Is there a spreadsheet or database that contains common addresses and their use?

I dont want to derail this thread but I think I may be experiencing a similar issue. I too am on V7 96530706.

A couple weeks ago I threw a code for p0125 insufficient coolant temp for closed loop fuel control. I ordered a new coolant temp sensor however I don't think that is my issue as when looging coolant temp in evoscan it appears normal.

I reset the code and it hasnt come back yet however I noticed that on a cold start and for probably the first 5-10 mins of driving the car runs extremely rich i.e 10-11/1. This is on idle and a cruising speed where it typically is like 14.7/1.

I've played around with diff fuel setting in the past in an attempt to get the car to start on cold days. Im wondering if any of those settings messed it up? It just doesnt make sense as the car didnt do this prior.

Looking through the different tables I am not seeing one for closed loop min coolant temp. Is that a hidden table or is it called something different? I can send screenshots if needbe.

Thanks in advance!

for 9653, closed-loop temp is at 15AA (16 bit) or 15AB (8 bit)

check your temp scaling to see which you are using.

I am using Temp scaling at 15AA and see 0*C in base 96530706 ROM. Same with Temp8 at 15AB. Does it seems to be correct? Zero*C seems to be way too low.

stock (un-corrupted) 96530006 ROM should have at 15AA = 0x0028
and that is 0*C

I would suggest you change it to about 34*C
9653 is a cold climate ROM, but even so, 0*C is an odd temp to try and invoke closed-loop, while doing the warmup enrichment thing.

0x0028 - that's what I have at 15AA.

Yes I totally agree with you, thats why I've been looking for that item. My car starts behaving more stable as soon as the needle of stock coolant temp gauge starts moving. Thats closer to 50*C. I was thinking to try that number first, but that may be too much. Will start from 34*C and see how it goes.

Thanks!

stunt2, that is a normal 16bit scaling, so use 15AA

Hoping I can lean on your expertise again.

I've made the address change but the car it's absolutely ignoring this setting. Even if I set the value to 120°F .

I'll try to post logs tonight for review.

It's there anything else in the Rom that can prevent OL mode during startup?

In the evo VIII roms look at the warm up enrichment tables... I don't have my laptop handy as I am currently deployed in the Arabian Gulf... it will be a table coolant temp vs I think RPM... I believe it is listed in units or percentage... you may have to fiddle around with those, I had to when I moved from florida to VA and the temps were much colder... my car would go lean (16 afr) during warm up on E85...

Yea same thing for me. 8859 rom ignores any changes to the min coolant, closed loop temp.

Hmmm..wonder if it works at all in this Rom or if there is a conflicting setting somewhere.

I'd log it to confirm but i don't know how to log that in Evoscan.
