Tephra Rom ignoring "Closed-Loop, Min Coolant Temp"?

Hey guys,

I seem to have a problem in my Tephra Rom that causes it to ignore this parameter.

It doesn't seem to matter what the value is.

I know it's not working because if I use the Open-Loop load and throttle thresholds instead, I can force open-loop at startup.

Rom=88590715
Address=14aa

Scaling:
Name=Temp
Format=%.0f
units=Fahrenheit
(9/5)*(x-40)+32
(5/9)*(x-32)+40
Data Type=uint16

Any ideas?

Bump.

Anyone know if this setting requires a bit to be changed somewhere else?

yes, you have the wrong address, it is at 11AE on the 8859 ROM.

The value stock is 0x003C = 20*C

Thank you! I'll make that change as soon as the clutch swap is done.

Thank you again!

what sort of value were you thinking of using?

20*C to 35*C is the optimum range for this parameter.
Higher and you can run needlessly rich, lower and you start screwing with your fuel trim learned value (needlessly).

Note also there is a Post-Startup Closed-Loop Delay table (or two) that factors into the closed loop function.

Thinking of making it 100f.

Car starts and runs fine for the first 20 secs and then starts leaning out anytime the Coolant temp is below 60f... once coolant temps rise the car runs perfect. .. literally a 2 to 3 minute inconvenience in my daily commute. not that big of a deal really.

Could you provide the defs for the two tables you mention?

tsi, just increase the warmup table values a bit in the affected area, should solve the lean condition thru that temp range.

I have found this necessary on e85 cars.

Just to clarify, are you talking about the Post-Cranking IPW Enrichment Adder tables?

I'm on 93 currently but the Kelford' s seem to cause an unstable idle when cold.

Just wondering, since I changed the wrong address before, do you happen to know what address 14aa actually changes in my ROM?

^ it is some sort of weird ISC control inhibit timer, and may not even be called in 8859, as I suspect it has to do with SAS (anti-lag).

the stock value (in most roms) is 0x0050
