Unable to connect to ABS/AYC ECUs using Evoscan
Hi Guys,
My Evo VI TME currently has the ABS light on permanently, and the AYC light comes on after driving a short distance. I tried to pull the Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) using Evoscan v2.9 today, and although I was able to successfully connect to the EFI ECU, I cannot get a connection to either the ABS or AYC ECUs.
The cable I am using is a standard ODBII cable for a VW/Audi that I bought online years ago, and connected pins 1 and 4 together as pin 1 needs to be connected to ground on the Mitsubishis. This cable has served me well for years but I have never needed to access the ABS and/or AYC ECUs before.
My searching so far suggests that I may need to remove pin 9 on the 16 pin connector for it to work (as pin 9 is required for Subarus only). Can anyone confirm this is the case?
Thanks in advance.
