Evoscan issue
Evoscan issue
So I'm having some issues using evo scan.can't get it to connect when the car is idling..but as soon as I start to drive it will connect and log....another issue is when I start to log and start to go into boost it will disconnect and say the open port cable not responding...btw I have a evo 8 using openport 2.0 cable. Any ideas or fixes?
Does the USB device actually drop out? Check device manager and hit refresh next time it disappears.
Sounds like a bad electrical connection somewhere between the ECU and your computer's USB port, perhaps triggered by idle vibrations or the acceleration of hitting boost.
My OP1.3 had a similar intermittent failure. I finally pulled it apart out of frustration and found that all of the solder joints inside were terrible. I resoldered all of the pins and a few of the wires properly and I haven't had a problem since then.
