I'm new to the evo tuning scene(came from audi still getting use to the software) go a FE. i've been hearing the controversy about the leaner a/f. Then I heard to reflash to ecu with a gsr rom. Not sure if this can be cross flashed, I know with vws and audis, certain ecus can be cross flashed. Can 59580006(GSR) be flashed on the 52680002(FE)

 

From what I've read and understood, the FE is just a GSR rom that was tuned by Mitsu. So there should be no problem going to the more conservative GSR rom. But you might want to just pm one of the e-tuners and I'm sure they could answer it pretty quick.

 

There is no issue running the stock FE rom on a stock car.

If you wanted to tune it, there is more power to be had with a good tune from English Racing or similar. But if you want to leave it stock, just leave it stock. You'll be fine.

 

Thanks for suggestion. Right now I'm just gonna leave it as is. But I like to self tune my cars, may not have the most numbers but its a hobby. If Im not satisfied then I will check out english, as I did see them pump out a good amount of power already out of a fe.
