Tuning boost, showing PSI based now?

I recently started tuning my Rom for the first time, just started with ignition timing and load boost/turbo areas of the stock rom with mode 23 enabled so far.
The attached pic shows all the boost changes i have made so far, sorry if its cluttered.
After flashing and logging a run everything seemed fine, but then when I went to read the log i noticed the PSIG from the mode 23 option was now reading in 30's and 40's as shown in the evo scan data pic for example, instead of the normal PSI i was used to before this reflash.
After looking into it I read that by changing the BTEL tables i am also changing the Direct Boost Target Tables.

So now for my main question(s)... Why is it now recording the log in PSI based map numbers even though PSI direct was never enabled?
Would i be able to change it back to PSI while still editing the same BTEL tables?
Sorry for the poor log (only goes to about 6k RPM because i got cut off on the onramp) but after seeing this change in info i was afraid to do another WOT pull before figuring out whats going on, especially because i have no way of logging boost accurately and that worries me since it was already at around 25psi after my recent mod additions and eyeballing my boost gauge.

I did plenty of research and decided i may just decide to go PSI based boost control instead, but still have a couple questions on that after searching...
I noticed others have less to enable, as my 2014 MR has 6 tables that all say disabled (see pic), I assume i would enable all 6 of those but i want to be absolutely sure first.
Also any advice on how i would go about changing the Target Boost Error Correction values if i were to change over to PSI based. Increase/ decrease/ leave alone???

Ive attached my log just in case anyone would like to give advice on current tune or help point out anything that may look off, or any mistakes i may have made. I also tried to attach my rom file but its in .srt format and not able to attach...
anyone know how to change this to the normal .hex or .bin?

Current mods are in sig, and im running crappy CA 91oct.
(Note: my AFR's are still off as they're is still the stock tuned and i have yet to touch AFR before i get my ignition/boost/ MIVEC dialed in).

You're looking at absolute pressure values from your MAP sensor. That isn't going to correspond to your boost gauge readings unless you subtract your baro readings from it.

As far as modifying the target tables for Direct boost and load based they all share the same addresses so if you make a change to one it will affect the other one. It just changes how it's displayed to you. If you are using load based then ignore the direct boost tables, if you want to use direct then ignore the load based tables.

If you need additional help there are a ton of helpful threads on the subject

Good luck!

yes, thats what i was thinking about the numbers being absolute pressures, meaning that my peak boost would be 42.9- 14.6 (my baro that day) = 28.3 psi of boost correct?
if this is correct then i have my boost too high because i dont want 28psi on a stock turbo and 91 oct (aiming for ~25psi at peak boost)

If this is correct, even though its an easy simple subtraction to find my psi i would much rather it just show me my psi instead like it used to before i edited the BTEL tables. Would you know how i can change it back to showing me psi and not absolute pressure? i havent found anyone else in any other threads to have this problem just from changing the BTEL tables.

Also, can you answer my other question: do i need to enable all 6 of those disabled values to enabled in order to use psi based? again, done lots of reading and very little information on the newer car roms such as my 2014 59590005. i assume its the same and a simple switch over to enables but like i said, i want to be absolutely sure before i enable something and mess up my ecu/engine

Thanks for your help on the matter.

Editing the target tables should not have had any effect on the way it was logged with evoscan.

You can try this http://www.evoxforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=33319

Or look into Rax and the fast logging as its setup properly right out of the gate.

And yes to switch over you would enable those tables and then make your adjustments in the direct boost tables.

Thanks, appreciate the link and the info. I messed with the tune a bit then did another log, and magically its back to showing PSIG in actual psi like it was before that particular weirdly logged run. Not sure what happened with that exact log but it was a fluke apparently and its all better now. Now to get my boost dialed in a bit lower...

heres a pic showing the boost back to psi
