Yea just did some 3rd gear pull and scaling def effect whole map. Now my AF is in 10.5-11.5 range which is safer and no knock .

I did pull the timing too. I'm just going to fine tune the FUEL now to get the whole RPM range in around 11-11.5 AF like you guys said. You guys anything that needs to be done here:

Timing seems ok at 6k rpm, too much under that, and you might be able to get away with more up top...maybe. Shoot for about 2-3 degrees in the low 4k range, and ramp it to the 10 you have at 6k, see how it acts from there. I'd log knock voltage too

Thank I'll try do take out some low RPM timing.

Can you guys help me out with getting the LOAD Table right on Tephra v7 96530706.

On my previous 94170014 Rom LOAD was 0-160 points not its 0-260 it seems. I don't think load is matching up well when at WOT now. What am I missing?

PS Never mind, I see whats happening, now that I upgraded to bigger high resolution maps I have a lot of tuning to do.

When you tune an engine, you start at low load.
That means turn the boost down.

If you try to tune the high loads first, you'll blow it up and you'll never tune the low load sites.

Can was already tuned, and runs perfect.

BUT i did some logging on my own and found 2-7 knocks sometimes so I just need to fine tune a few points I think

I wouldn't worry so much on the fuel as much as having +5 degrees in the low to mid range.

Cylinder pressure is too high.

What fuel is this on?

Is this too much timing for pump and ok for ethanol?

IMO too much timing for pump gas in the midrange.

I'm taking a lot of timing off. I will try to do a few WOT runs tomorrow and see. PS I gave up on moving everything over to Tephra 7v, too much work lol. Cant seem to get the big map translation right.

My rom is 94170014 - Evo 8 2003

I just tried Tephra v7 96530706, but I went back to 0014 because a lot of stuff was out of wack on v7.

Just did a lot of logging:
Fuel_ trims is IDLE: +9 to +10.5 (always need more fuel_)
Fuel_ trim CRUISING at 45mph 5th gear: +4 to +6 (always need more fuel_)

so I was thinking about adding more fuel_ by lowering the scaling or should I mess with the injector battery_ latency instead?
Just a few things. Update your ROM to the 94170715 or 94170015 ROM. It is the next evolution to your 0014 ROM.

Easiest way to tune injectors:

Strt with Size scaling. Ease into it. But scale them in size first, run into a little boost, and see what AFr's are. IF they are lean, scale size down by that percentage. If it Rich, scale size up.

Once you have WOT tuned to 11.2 AFR in boost, then cruise. But cruise at 80 MPH. Not 40. Cruise for 25 minutes, letting injector cycles play through. At that time, see what your Trims are. If they are +10% lets say, then adjust your latencies up 10%. and visa versa if they are negative. Once Mid trim is in check. Let it idle for 20 minutes, and cycle again, then check idle trim. With mid trim in check below 5% variation, the low should be relatively close. After that it is fine tuning.

I'm taking a lot of timing off. I will try to do a few WOT runs tomorrow and see. PS I gave up on moving everything over to Tephra 7v, too much work lol. Cant seem to get the big map translation right.
Need to know your Boost goals on this one. Have some recommendations.

Get back to me or others. Also, just for note, iv you intend to tune fully, for the American 8's, the 94170715 ROM is the most defined ROM out. My suggestion is to research that.

Have a good one, and good luck.

So funny?

Runs perfect?

Not to worry, one of my old vids on u tube, there's 28.
But I've reworked everything since.

But anyway, it's timing, not AFR you need to look at.

Just pull out a couple of deg.

Why don't you post a link to your Vid. Would love to see your experience.

What if I told you there was an easier way, to copy everything over to the V7?

Then only a few tables would need to be corrected.
