Greetings...

I washed my car Sunday and we had extreme cold Sunday Evening into Monday morning. When i started the car i swore i heard a pop. Drove the car to work. While driving home i noticed the car wouldn't idle below 2k all the sudden and even started surging. I got s replacement IAC and now it just idles insanely high but no more surging. I cannot get it to idle at 950-1000 like normal. I have reset the battery thinking that could be it but no such luck so far. I seen . a few thread about this but no answers in any.....what else could be going on?

 

is the butterfly closed on the throttle body?
do you have a cable so you can log the TB %?

 

So i logged everything.....Injector Duty Cycle and Injector Pulse-width just goes to 0. With the car fully warmed up after driving it around it surges. I can see both number and then goes to 0. This only happens at idle or if i let off the gas while in gear. Im going to assume that mean one or more of my Hi-Z FIC injectors are going bad....not sure what else would cause them to just die like that. i have the older model Hi-Z which i am reading were problematic.
