Been using my Openport 2.0 and Ecuflash with no problems since last year. A few weeks ago I set my ACD up so I could read and write to it. It pulled the stock rom no problem and I didn't mess with it again as I moved on to other projects.
Yesterday I got back to it and it would not let me do anything with the ACD ecu. It gets to "sending init sequence 2" then says "interface close." This is with the select vehicle set to ACD ECU MH7203FA.

So I decide to see if I can access my engine ECU and switch my speaker wires and it won't let me connect at all. I have my metadata directory pulling from the rommetadata folder but it it just cycles through a few attempts to connect and says it got no response. In the lower right corner Ecuflash says it is connected to the Openport 2.0 and I hooked my battery up to a tender just in case it was seeing it as low. Evoscan on the other hand connects to the ECU fine and I have no problem opening up ROMs to edit be it Tephramod or whatever.

I've done three clean reinstalls and pretty much every suggestion I've read online to no avail. At this point I'm starting to think my Openport has broken somehow.

 

Installed Ecuflash on another Windows 10 laptop and experienced the same issues.

 

Took it apart and the microphone jack connector had come undone on one of the posts. Soldered it back and it works just like new.

 

nice work! The USB jack on mine broke off, I soldered that back on and it's good as new. Soldering skills FTW
