I have a 2015 evo final edition that isn't in ecu flash. I want to confirm the steps and get help on which rom to inherit.

I open ecu flash, download rom and it says it is undefined, aka doesn't know what it is. I assume I save the file in a format that I can't edit but can read. Then open this file in hxd hex editor to read the id. Then confirm with you guys which one I can inherit.

Then I can be on my way to follow the mode 23 steps etc etc...

Did I get this correct?

 

So I downloaded the rom/srf file. I'm not able to read it for some reason or i'm doing it wrong. I opened it in hxd but can't seem to find the information I need. I attached the file.
Any help is appreciated.

I see you sent me the xml already. It isn't in my ecu flash evo folder so I assume I need to copy that into the folder.
Did you already edit the file for mode 23?
It looks like I just need to modify my evobase file for mode 23 now?

 

I answered that myself by looking lol It appears ecuflash has the base xml already setup for mode 23. This xml is also already setup so I don't have to edit the xml at all.
