Can't seem to disassemble this one. Trying to get a customer (tuned by another tuner) to pass emissions and I rather just adjust the tune he's currently on instead of a new tune (that's the owner's plan).

Anyways, it's never been an issue to unlock ROM's, until today. I've never seen a ���� in place of a hexadecimal or ROM ID. Went to the address where the ID is located and it's just all FF FF's.

1st pic is typical (go to the address and see the ROM ID).



2nd pic is the problem child.



Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

 

The format of the file may .srf. If so, save it as .bin or .hex format and open it by a hex editor and the ID may appear fine.

Looks like the strategy was changed to "DA DA DA DA".... it's offset in the srf that's all.
