We would need more info to tell you if you need to delete the resistor pack. If they are High-Z, you'll have to delete and I would suggest doing that as the High-Z's are better.
And yea, the stock ECU can be tuned to run 1000cc injectors, I personally run 1700s on the stock ECU.
