Hello everyone, I have a unique issue im hoping someone can help me with. I come here from the dsmtuners forum. Below are the specs of my car and the issue im having. I would appreciate any help you guys can give me.
99 GST Spyder
AWD converted
6 bolt engine
7 bolt AWD trans with the Evo 3 gearset.
Precision 1000cc injectors
1g CAS
3 bar map sensor
gm IAT
Coil on Plug
stock o2 sensor with an LC-1 too
Evo 8 Ecu running tephra v7 SD
HX35
The issue im having is getting tephra to work correctly. I have a feeling my map sensor is the issue but since im running an evo8 ecu the dsmtuners guys dont really know how to help me.
The issue im having is I "think" the something is up with the map sensor scaling. The car tries to start but runs at 8afr. No matter what change I make to injector size or battery compensation it just runs really rich. Being how im running tephra SD Im not 100% sure that the ecu is actually using the correct values for the map sensor, when I open ecuflash and right click on the maps that need changed they revert back to the 3.5 or 4 bar map sensor instead of the Gm 3 bar like I set. I re scaled the map sensor in evo scan, the value starts at 14.5 and you are suppose to adjust that value until it reads 0 with the key on and car off. I have seen threads where people needed to change it to 14 or 14.2, but I had to change mine to 41.75 to get it to read 0. Im also getting 2 codes (p0183 no camshaft signal) and (p0335 no crankshaft reference signal). When I try to start the car I do get RPM so im curious why im getting those codes. I used a conversion harness for a 6 bolt cas to 2gb harness so it had the crank signal wire and cas wiring. I attached my rom and some pictures of evoscan and even a picture of the ecm link injector settings from when this motor was in a galant vr4 running ecmlink. I have really good grounds to the chassis and engine, The battery is in the trunk so I have 0 gauge wiring for power and ground going to the front of the car and all the power and grounds connect there.
I figured out part of the issue. My 535 is over running my fuel lab fuel pressure regulator. I can only get the pressure down to about 45. If I set the injector size to 2500 I can get the motor to actually lean out. still wont run though. Its a start I guess
