Locked out of my ECU

I recently got a custom tune.

I hooked up to my car to download the map for my viewing and noticed that I am now locked out of my ECU.

I didn't know I was going to be locked out. If I knew before hand I would have gone another route.

I was planning on using this map as a basemap.

Has anyone ever experienced this?

And, if so, how did you get around it?

When you mean locked out do you mean that you can't pull your map or does it pull it and you just can't read the values?

When I use EcuFlash and try to connect I can't.

It sends init requests and doesn't get a response.

I'm locked out. I can't download the map.

Register & contribute to the forums .

Go to "Downloads"
then "ECUFlash Addons and definitions"
then "Mitsubishi ECU Unlocker 1.1 for ECUFlash "

Download..

Run ECU Unlocker, KEEP IT OPEN
Run ECUFlash & Read rom... then Save rom..
Close ECUFlash
Close ECU Unlocker

You can 'unlock' your ecu by changing the init to "0001" then you no longer need to run the unlocker.. ..

Yeah, I had some what of a custom flash but wasn't fully completed. However, the values were all messed up but I had a buddy of mine unlock it and change the definition so that I could read the real values.

What's up K.
Just wondering how did your buddy change the definitions to reveal the actual values?

Just got mine backed up but I can't decipher anything out of it. Looks way out of wack!

I'm working on my own app that should be able to make the values readable.

Afterall, it's just hex.

The information is in front of us.

If and when I finish it I'll release the program that will allow others to be able to read their rom.

Hi

Start ECUunlocker and leave it running, then start ECUflash, you should be able to download your map.
