Anyone got any ideas how we can grab the AYC ROM?

I was reading an article about the IX that won targa tassie using a MOTEC ACD computer.

Anyways I thought it would be cool to start playing with that part of the Evo

I think Works posted a while back about selling remapped ACD computers. Supposedly there is A LOT to be gained from reprogramming them. I'm not sure how difficult it would be to tune them, but it sure would be cool.

One simple thing that would be nice is that ability to lock the ACD for launching.

Can the ACD ECU even be connected to using the OBD plug or would we need to connect elsewhere?

You can connect to log and actuate with the newer evoscan cables and v2.4+... so yes! Writing may be a different story

Hell yes, I can't wait for Tephra to get into these . I read about some serious gains also but the new units were like $1400+ if I remember correctly

 

The Ralliart ACD controller is only like $560 ...

I've read up to 1 sec per km on the road course can be gained from this. Neglected upgrade here in the U.S.

 

just unplug the AYC ECU, its as simple as that.

i know people who have done it here in Trinidad..

AYC is too predictable, the USDM evo IX guys are lucky.

Can someone explain what they mean by hacking ACD, and how gains can be done?
