I probably spent about 500 total to do it, but I still have alot of extras that i might need some day. As far as weight I think its only probably worth 10-15 lbs for the clutch packs in the ACD case and the longer snout.
For the record I have an 06 F-LSD in an 03 case with an 04 R&P, so if you added it up and divided by 3 its almost an 04 now
Cost...well I had amassed a bunch of spares as soon as my 6 speed came out. The only thing I had been missing was another F-LSD and when mine got toasted I had to find one in a hurry. They normally go used for 550 or so, but thats not something you would need if the case hadnt blown up on you.

also interested if I could tune the way AYC/ACD is working , and in particular to adapt it to various condition : twisty tracks , fast tracks , slippery conditions,... as the OE setup is a general purpose / any driver compromise

Garage HRS has already cracked and allowed modifications to the ACD

Too bad their system probably has AYC integrated as well. In reading it looks like one mode might lock the center diff. full time as they speak of increased tire wear...
I've brought this system up in several threads. It would be neat if someone knew more about it.
GEMS sells a modified acd/Ayc unit to Rally peeps that is programmable as well. It looked pretty pricey though.

Bit late on the uptake, but I had am ACD controller demonstrated to me over the summer (it was developed by one of the Japanese Tuners).
The effects are very impressive, it turned from full on oversteer to full on understeer at the turn of two dials.
I'm not sure where the development is with it, it accessed the ACD ECU by a loom swapped into the main ECU loom.

It is still expensive though
