In this post on Dec 13 you mention the imminent appearance of Ver 6 of your quintessential ECU ROM mods.

What can you tell us about Ver 6? Don't hold back! Please!

 

V6 is *almost* finished.

should contain everything in 5.10 + the following:

- 3d maps for wgdc and bdel with gear as the other axis
- max load otherwise wgdc = 100, to keep wg closed as long as possible
- iat correction for wgdc, so if you tune in warm weather and it goes cold you can pull out a few % of wgdc to stop overspool/spiking
- tps correction for wgdc, so if you want some TPS control over your wgdc...
- ipw startup adder in altmap
- afr safety out of range cel flash and boost drop
- knock boost drop
- mrfreds/acamus's airmass calcs
- probably a MAT scaling (however I need to work out the evap stuff with mrfred)

ummm I think thats about it for the new features, the boost drop stuf might be removed after ppl have a play with it and decide its more trouble than its worth

 

I am really excited about all the boost control stuff.

 

yeah this patch will be known as the boost control patch Hopefully it will be the be-all-end-all of EBC's

ooh forgot to mention I have also increased the WGDC resolution from 2.1% to 1%...

 

Tephra, what about adding open loops maps to altmaps? It could be useful to use a cruise/performance map selection...

 

What about wideband controlled closed loop?

Have you figured out what scheme your using for CEL flash when lean? I'm going to use boost drop and hope it doesn't dissapper but its already confusing with slow and fast knock for low and high knock and was wondering what i have to look forward to.

at the moment AFR-out-of-range = fast CEL, just like high-knock.

In addition to the AFR-out-of-range CEL flash you have, could you add a CEL flash for boost out of range for those of us running a JDM/Evo X MAP sensor?
