For Anyone Considering an AEM Boost Control Solenoid . . .
Reposted from the TurboFord forums:
"If anyone decides to go with the AEM solenoid, there is a cheaper option. I found that it is just a re-labeled MAC valve. Part# 35A-AAA-DDBA-1BA

You'll laugh at the web site... but this is the cheapest place I have found the valve... haha:

$26.50 compared to $100ish for the AEM valve. It is identical."
I don't believe slapping ones own label on an otherwise readily available part and tripling the price deserves protection. It isn't like they designed their own component or even modified an existing component. This part is freely available in the marketplace wthout the AEM label, so it's fair game in a free market.

MrFred said that the part is not actually the 36A (at least the one that he got) as we used to think. There is a small difference. Either way, This info has been in the stock tuning wiki for a whle... but needs to be updated with the 35a P#
