MAF Adder

I'm currently running a '04 Evo 8 ecu in my '97 Talon. Right now, I'm running the 90550001 rom, since it seems to be one of the only ones to run without kicking multiple CELs.

Any ways, I need the address for the MAF Adder in this rom and any other roms that you may have. I'm trying to make a version of the 9055 rom that closely matches the stock 2g DSM rom (timing, fueling, MAF scaling, idle, etc) in order to get a good base.

So, list up your MAF Adder addresses! Direct lines from xml files would be nice.
I'm kinda new to this stuff.

i wouldnt run that rom on an 8 ecu. i have scalings and sizes etc for an evo 2+3 maf which should be the same as the 2g dsm.

90550001 works fine for me with the correct MAF scaling.

I have never seen the location for the MAF adder posted. It is supposed to be 140 (dec) while the 2G/Evo is 64 (dec). So I just took the 2G values and subtracted 76 from them to get the value to put in the 90550001 ROM.

The MAF size need to be changed to about 280 also (I don't remember off hand).

It seems that there are only two roms that like to run on the 2g. The 9055 and the 9563 roms. I haven't tried them all, but these are the only 2 I've heard people running.

I'm guessing that a few of you also had problems with low load knock? I just swapped to a 2g timing map (missing cells interpolated) and that seemed to help solve the problem. Increasing the low knock multiplier from 13 to 21 also helped.

If I had the address for the MAF adder, I was going to try swapping all the MAF settings from the 2g rom onto an evo 8 rom. MAF smoothing, Baro compensation, MAF size, MAF Scaling, etc. just to see how that runs. Right now, my fuel trims are -12% even though my injectors are scaled correctly.

Anyone have problems with cold starts? Where it won't start the first time you crank the key, but starts instantly the second time you try.

After swapping over to the Evo1-3/2g MAF settings and doing some tuning and injector scaling I haven't had any knock issues or strange operation. I am still running the Evo8 MAF smoothing and Baro values though.

I do have poor cold start performance though and do experience the first time start issue you speak of . I have played around with the ISCV settings but haven't really had improvement. I think the Evo ISC valve might be different to ours.

I tried it and it worked to some extent, but I just used John Banks VE values which are probably very different to what my car wants. I need to do some logs to figure out my VE tables.

I have SD running on a customer's 8 very nicely though.

BTW, 93660005 also works on the early Evos.
