I'll looking at buying an Evo8MR ecu for maybe fitting to my car in the future. The current owner has no car to plug it into and mine won't work without extensive pin changes. Can you identify which rom the ecu will be from the number on the board? It has JE331B56604B printed on it.

Okay,

I have these two CEL's.

P0170 - Fuel Trim Bank 1
P0136 - Heated Oxygen Sensor Circuit Bank 1 Sensor

I keep getting the P0136. Been getting ever since I swapped to V7. Fuel trim is a new one..

Any Ideas?

if ur o2 sensor is faulty it might be reading the wrong voltage and hence might think its running rich or lean when it isint... so after a while the ecu gives up trying to adjust and throws p0170.

hence i would say try another o2 sensor... not sure why it would go due to the ecu... maybe it just was a coincidence

it would have made my life a lot easier if the ecu threw a code when my o2 went south...damn thing caused me a right headache.

i almost went SD...looks like i won't be going there now if you can't get it working properly.

but then again i can't get livemap to work either, keep getting errors.
