Also check for the following:
Wiring or connector to the sensor frayed / broken
Blown heater circuit fuse
Holes in the exhaust system as mentioned earlier
PCM failure (very rare but possible and would only be the last resort)
Is there any evidence that your o2 sensor was dropped? it could become damaged and throw that code also, even on a brand new o2 sensor.
