Request for start log with the push of a dash button
As some of you may know, in suby land, with their logger (Romraider), they can start the logger by pressing the defrost or rear defrost on the dash. I was wondering if we could get a similar feature working for evoscan.
What you guys think?

That's actually not a bad feature, means you would be able to read parameters easily by ticking the box.
Would have to close it down to use Livemap though Z

The O.P. 2.0 StandAlone logging does similar to what the OP is describing. But still waiting for it to get out of the Beta stage, and get integrated into EcuFlash before it is really usable.
I use the A.C. button, but I have A.C. removed.
There may be some unused binary(on/off) inputs on the 8/9 ecus, but I'm not 100% sure. The older H8 ecus(DSMs, Evo5/6) have two unused binary inputs.
(They were the Base Timing Terminal Pin on old ecus, and the Park/Neutral Switch Pin on Automatics.)

The fact that Romraider constantly displays values for whatever parameters you have checked is so convenient.
You don't have to log anything if you don't want. You can just watch the screen.
Also, for each parameter checked it shows a min. and max. value for however long Romraider has been running. Whether you were logging or not.
Meaning if you were driving around and didn't feel like scrolling through 5000 lines of log to see what the max knock your were getting. You can just look at the max value.
I know they're 2 different programs but Romraider definately has some advantages as far as being a little more user-friendly.
It would be super cool if someone much smarter than I could integrate some of these features into Evoscan.
