8858 XML improvement. 88580714 88582714 88586714
I have an updated XML pack for those running one of these three roms. Yes some of the improvements will show on those running base 88580014. intended for v7 users
To fully get what the XML reconfiguration and improvements have done the XML's I ZIP here should fully replace all of your existing 8858 ones.. including the evo base file. I went a tad personal in depth and theres a million ways to do this once you start trying to group things. I new respect has become for those who write these damned things!
- thermo fan tables
- OBD circuit bypass
- ISCV control
- ISCV start up
- Start up fuel
- Fuel pump control
- decel fuel cut resume
- ignition vs iat trims and associated table
- maybe one or two more i forgot about
- ign retard limit
- advanced fuel control: accel/decel enrichment + much more
I have a sincere amount of respect for disassemblers, developers, pioneers. I did not discover ANY of these tables. donner set me off on the 8858 quest in my ALS thread. So ive been bugging him, and others the whole time!
- first edit.. accel enrichment + decel tps / load is being worked on and is one of the last big things that would get these 8858 defs really up to par.
- ---
- second edit. I havent tested everyone of these updated XML's. Use common sense and logging when adjusting a particular table to trouble shoot normal running problems. The disassy guys are good, but if a particular table looks not right, report it here.. I checked for consistency in table format for everything i copy and pasted in to the XML but, Im human and we're a team.
- --
- third edit. 88582714/6714 are donner patched SD roms. The 6714 def included is for ver 2 of that sd2.0 rom which I do not know if it is available on his domain or not. SD on the 8858 cars is a little rare as they dont have map sensors factory.
- --
- fourth.. edit.. advanced fuel control is in there. thanks to donner and xr6t for loads of XML information that I just copy pasted, and viewed the tables for continuity. AS ALWAYS use caution here, AFAIK they havent been verified on an actual vehicle. However XR6 provided me some logging information that he can post here. Its the same process as 8859 described by mrfred.

I picked up the advanced fuel stuff thank you again x10 donner. Needs some sifting through. Maybe a couple days before I get to cleaning that up and stick it up here.
Edit actually looks like its pretty copy and paste with duplicate stuff being able to be avoided easily

just checked it and thank you, finally someone who regrouped altmaps, knock etc...
I tried to do it myself but somehow ended up with twice the categories you have lol
nice job, having to scroll through 20 categories when I just wanted to change octane/timing was a pain

By midnight tonight ~6 hours I should have the file updated with advanced fuel control{accel and decel enrichment}. I can paste it here too just so you guys can edit it in too
All in all it's just plain handy to have a XML with the add ins there plus some lesser known and previously not published stuff.
Bear with me as I copy and pasted this from my iPhone so if the format is screwed up ill fix it.
edit xml's didnt pan out. will keep posted.

I do what this post says to do on my 88580714 rom.
https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ec...-evo-8-9s.html
revving still there.
no changes.
I also try to zero out all these table ( not good but only fro try).
No change at all.
The mad thing is that.
I load on my ecu the 88590715 rom and i do this mod, throttle hang go away..
i notice that in 88580714 are still missing some table like
<table name="ISCV Demand RPM Adder (Moderated by Baro, IATS) (FFFF6EA8) (sub_204B6) [sub_1EFC0]" category="ISCV Control" address="672a" type="2D" level="2" scaling="ISCV_AX2_8">
<table name="RPM" address="802a" type="Y Axis" elements="10" scaling="RPM"/>
</table>
this is for 8859xxxx...
isn't avaiable the same table for edm?
Can be that without zeroing out this that is not visible on 88580714 throttle hang still there?
