E-flash. Who do you recommend
This is my second Evo and sadly, I'm not too knowledgeable with ecu tuning, logging etc. I have a 04 rs with the following mods
-10.5 turbo
-dp, tp, tbe
-crushed metal bov
-02 dump
-egr block-off plate
-balance shaft delete
-mbc
-ams licp
-coolant TB bypass
-maf adapter with cone filter
I also have a 255 walbro and a set of fic 1250 waiting to be installed. I would like to have ECUflash to compliment the added mods, unfortunately I don't have a method of logging nor do I know the process if I were to have (rookie level .0001 here) this is where the experts (you guys) can hopefully provide some valuable insight and assistance. If I were to borrow a tactrix cable and download a software to log with, would that be enough for a ECUflash?
My main concern is to tweak the ECU for the mods and disable egr & raise boost cut load. Who do you guys recommend and how should I proceed?
Thank you kindly
Kyle

Maybe I haven't made good enough friends in here or my lack of knowledge is bothersome to a few or both...but if anyone experienced in the subject nice enough to assist a newbie, plz lmk.

You need a wideband and a tactrix 2.0 to log/tune. If you wire the wideband into your ecu you can get away with doing stand alone logging with the tactrix, otherwise you will need evoscan to log on a laptop. Buy the tactrix dont borrow one, every modded evo owner should have one.

Thank you both 4b11slayer & biggiesacks! If I were to go for a street tune or pro tune instead of a eflash, do I still need the tactrix & evoscan/mitsulogger? Or can the protune be done without it? Also, how can I wire the wb directly into the ECU?
Thanks again

The instructions were fine until a certain point...my zeitronix has different wiring all together than the aem uego so I'm unclear as to how exactly tap into the ECU

you want the linear analog out. Depending which model you have that can be different colors.

ok you have a ZT3 so you want the white wire.
In case you don't have a copy, this should help a lot.

The white wire is linear wb analog ouput!
Biggiesacks thanks for the much appreciated help! So now that I found the linear output wire...what is the wiring process like into the ECU? Tap which pin?

should be pin 75 C-115 White. Make sure you unplug/remove your rear 02 sensor before tapping this. Also obviously you will need to make the necessary modifications to your ROM for rear 02 simulation.
