Any Alarm Systems that you recommend?

I wanna install a remote lock/security alarm for my GSR. What are some of the good brands out there (online stores?) ? I am looking for something high end as I think it is the best upgrade for my TME as I drive it daily around town and I get very nervous when i have to park it and go.

Any feedback will be grately appreciated..

Tx.

From: houston tx,
I've heard good things about clifford security systems. I'm getting one on my car very soon. I think the url for it is www.clifford.com, but if its not, just go to google and type in clifford security. YOu should be able to find it.

another good one seems to be powerlock. www.powerlock.com

I have a Clifford Intelliguard 8000 and it's awesome. Everything can be done through the remote. Just make sure you find a good installation shop as that's the most important part of the alarm. The good thing about the intelliguard 8000 models and up is dual proximity sensors. The impact sensors are pretty useless. If someone hits your car and leaves there no way you'll catch them in time anyhow. The proximity watches for movement inside and outside the car, whether glass breaks or they find some weird way in or they tow it. We set it so sensitive at one point one drop of rain set it off

Got a clifford alarm too. Works great. Might have to lower the sensitivity as well, but not bad enough to warrant not being lazy.

What I want to know is, how close to the car (minimum range) can you set the proximity on, say, a top of the line Clifford system? I want to be able to walk between cars in a parking lot, but have it go off if someone puts their face against the glass. Is this possible?
