I noticed ecuflash doesnt show the whole serial number for the cable so maybe youre onto something?

It's definitely worth a try. When it happened to me, I checked every fuse in the car and traced every pin from both the OBDII port and the pin from the white connector to the ECU. All the connections were good and the car drove fine. I even hooked up my car to a running vehicle so I can get the 13+ volts while the evo engine was off .

Ended up finding out that it was my tactrix 1.3u cable all along. It turns out that if you keep them plugged in too long it ruins them. I found out the hard way.

I don’t think it’s the 2.0 cord it worked fine when I pulled the map from the ecu and I can’t even get a obd reader to connect either.

you can install a switch on the 12volt constant line going into the obd connector. So you can just turn the cable off. Its what i did with my openport 2.0 to keep it from draining the battery.
