I sold an OEM EVO wing on ebay for $250

I listed that only US and Canadian bidders only...

Someone from Austria hit the "buy it now"


I contacted them to let them know they will have to pay ALL shipping fees, and if it gets too complicated in the shipping process, I will cancel.

Anyways I just received payment of $700 + dollars via paypal for the item and shipping.

I quoted from FEDEX that shipping was about $400+ dollars due to size and distance.

Is it that hard to get an Evo OEM in Austria or does this smell like a scam?

Ive requested his info from Ebay and address and info are correct... he has a 100% positive feedback...

What should I do...

At the end you reserve the right to sell to whoever you want.. you if it seems fishy.. dnt go with it and wait till someone stateside buys it..

or another option would be to go over your protection policies and make sure there is no loophole in which he is trying to get you..

I say transfer the money from your paypal into your own personal account so if he tries to recover it while you already shipped the item it will not be possible for him to recover the money.. another thing is to see if you can have a translator or ask if he can fins someone as well for you guys to establish a communications.. ask for what purpose does he want the wing..? does he have an evo.. question him on the evo..? you may never know and he has no such clue of it that it will be easy to identify him as a fraud.. he may not know the displacement.. of such car he says he has.. anyways best of luck.. and no it shouldn't be hard to get a wing.. but getting it pre-painted in a specific color is.. we receive them primered or in Rally Red at that..

I have no issues getting colored panels,lips or anything as you can see..
